What Is A Pledge?

“A commitment to give one's time, talents, and money as an expression of faith and a personal response to God's generosity. Parish members are encouraged to make an annual stewardship pledge. This pledge represents their specific Christian commitment to "work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God" (BCP, p. 856). Parish budgets are prepared in light of the pledges received from the members. A pledge is a statement of intent, not a legal obligation. It can be changed at any time.” Learn More

What If My Pledge Needs To Change In The Future?

Parishioners change their pledges all the time. The church understands the ebb and flow of life’s challenges. If you need to change your pledge at any time, just contact the church office to do so.

Why Should I Make A Pledge?

While all kinds of giving and contributions are needed at all times, the Vestry depends on pledge commitments to prepare for the upcoming year. A pledge conveys a specific amount of money that the church can depend on when discerning its annual budget. Together, pledges help the Vestry determine the church’s operating budget and plan for the church’s ministries. Without pledges, the Vestry is challenged to make decisions with great uncertainty as to the resources that will be available.
