Worship & Fellowship Opportunities

Fellowship

All Souls is located in the community of Chatan, equally between Kadena and Foster. This means we’re a fantastic meeting place for those on base wanting to get to know the surrounding community! Every Sunday after the Holy Eucharist, we host a fun coffee hour, full of American and Japanese goodies, accompanied by engaging conversation.

WORSHIP MINISTRIES

Eucharistic ministers, acolytes, and lay readers are integral to our worship celebrations. If you are interested in joining these special groups, we offer training and plenty of opportunities for practice! Contact us to find out how to get started.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Did you know All Souls has the only pipe organ on the island? It’s true! If you would like to get involved in our music ministry, let us know. We use the collection of hymns, tunes, and service music authorized for use in the Episcopal Church by the General Convention. You can learn more about The Hymnal 1982 or contact us to let us know you are interested in supporting this ministry!

Community Outreach

The Shop at All Souls donates 100% of its proceeds to the Alms Fund. The Alms Fund is a specific fund set aside to assist the church in its efforts to help the poor and needy. Stop in and shop!

The Pantry at All Souls is our venue for helping the hungry and needy in our community. All are welcome to donate to or take from The Pantry.

The Garden is a community garden and a place for cultural exchange. We get to know each other and learn how to garden on the island from the locals! Proceeds and tithes from The Garden support The Pantry.

Language Exchange

Want to brush up on your Japanese or have questions about its culture? Come on by on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm to learn from each other as we teach each other our language and customs. The language exchange is facilitated by a language teacher proficient in both English and Japanese.
